NACW

National Awareness Campaign for Women

This initiative aims to empower women through legal literacy, health awareness, and social advocacy, creating a safer and more equitable environment.

  • Core Objectives: Educating women on their legal rights (Domestic Violence Act, POSH Act) and promoting menstrual hygiene and maternal health.

  • Work Flow:

    1. Workshops: Organizing “Legal Clinics” where professionals explain rights in simple, vernacular language.

    2. Self-Help Groups (SHGs): Forming local circles to discuss financial independence and vocational training.

    3. Reporting Mechanisms: Establishing a help-desk for women to seek guidance on navigating the legal system or social welfare schemes.

  • Idea Suggestions:

    • “Know Your Rights” Pocket Guides: Easy-to-carry pamphlets in regional languages summarizing key laws.

    • Safe-Space Forums: Monthly community meets where women can speak safely about social challenges without judgment.
